Subject: [sfskaters] San Francisco Skate Transit Pilot Program

Hi Skaters.

IT PASSED - IT PASSED - IT PASSED!!!!!!!

Today the full board os the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted 9 to 1 
to pass the San Francisco Skate Transit Pilot Program.  We will soon choose 
the streets and create criteria for the skate license. The Mayor will be 
signing the legislation within the next 30 days.   Please read the details

This is the beginning step in geting skaters the same rights as a bicycle 
statewide.  As skaters, we all have a responsibility to make this program 
work.  I am looking forward in making this work.

Big thanks to Supervisor Ammiano and Paul Pillitteri.  This is a great 
victory for skaters everywhere.

P.S.

If you are a San Francisco resident, you could serve on the San Francisco 
Skate Advisory Committee.  This is the group that will represent skater 
issues to the Board of Supervisors.  More on that later.
